Setting search criteria

The query builder allows users to build search queries using the data elements from the MDR (Metadata Repository) used in the registry. To select a data element as a filter, it must be dragged from the list on the right into the area under "Search criteria".

Using the options from the drop-down list and the input field, it is possible to define filters for the respective data element in order to include the associated patient record in the data export:

  • equals: exact match with specified value
  • not equal to: not equal to the specified value
  • greater than / greater or equal than: greater than / equal to the specified value
  • less than / less or equal than: less than / equal to the specified value
  • between: within a specified range of values.

In addition, the "is set" or "is not set" options can be used to check whether or not a value exists for the given data element.

It is also possible to link multiple search criteria using logical operators ("AND" - all criteria match, "OR" - one of the criteria matches).

Once the editing of the search criteria is complete, the user can return to the previous page of the Export Tool by pressing the "Finish editing search criteria" button. The "Discard changes" button can be used to discard the changes.
