Changing patient details
To modify a patient’s personal data, click the corresponding edit symbol in the Actions column of the patient list. Please be aware that you are making changes to patient data stored in the Mainzelliste identity managements, where patients for all locations of the registry are recorded. Any change you make may therefore affect other locations.
It is possible (but not recommended) to retrospectively modify a patient’s name or date of birth without changing the pseudonym. However, in contrast to the process of adding a new patient, the Mainzelliste does not perform any record linkage at this point, i.e., it does not check for duplicate entries. Retrospectively changing the details of a patient might therefore result in two patients with identical personal data (name, date of birth) but different pseudonyms.
To change a patient's location, e.g., in case a patient transfers to another site, please contact the administrator of your registry or identity management. This modification currently cannot be made via the user interface, but has to be performed directly in the underlying data base.
