Managing registry users

To add and manage registry users, go to the Users page, where a list of existing users is displayed containing the user name, full name, the assigned roles, the number of failed logins as well as the current online status of the user.

Adding new users

To add a new registry user click on Add new user; to modify an existing user (e.g., to assign new roles or change the password) click on the user name or the icon in the Action column. After a certain number of failed login attempts, a user account may be locked, indicated by a lock icon in the Failed Logins column. As registry or location administrator, you can unlock the user by clicking on the icon.

On the following screen, you need to provide the user's full name and a selected user name and provide an e-mail address in the corresponding field. You can assign roles to the user by clicking Add new entry and selecting a role from the drop-down list; each user can hold one or more roles. Roles can be withdrawn using the bin icon in the Action column. Finally you have to enter and repeat a password and save the user by clicking Add new user.

When modifying an existing user you can either change the details (user information and roles) by clicking the Change user data button or reset the password by entering a new password twice and clicking the Change password button.

Please note that users will currently not be automatically notified by the OSSE software when a user account is created or modified. The corresponding details (user name and password) have to be communicated separately, e.g., by e-mail.
